Okay, so the days were long and unfortunately we also had assignments due while we were there. I say unfortunately mainly because we really did not have any free-time to begin with and the wifi sucked, so it took so much longer to do the assignments than necessary.
But again, like I said in the previous post, we got to see so many things that the normal tourist would not even think to look at/for.
So we got to visit two of the island of Hawaii, the Hawaii Island (or known as the Big Island, because tourist get it confused) and Kauai. So the newest and the oldest of the Hawaiian Islands.
We spent the first four days on the Big Island, mainly for Geology. (All the photos from the previous post are from the Big Island). Getting to visit the Hawaii volcanoes National Park, so we could see lava flow and tunnels.
Then we hopped on a small plane for Kauai; I think almost everyone in my group would agree that Kauai was our favorite. It was just so green and I want to say, peaceful. One of the first things we did was go to the Kauai Community College, because one of the professors there was our guide on Kauai.
One extremely cool thing was we got to see where a bunch of different movies were filmed. (Donavan's Reef, Pirates of the Caribbean (a couple scenes), Jurassic Park).
Okay, if you love weird flowers then the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden is the place to go! It had some huge and colorful plants. (like the one above ^^ it felt rubbery and looks like something a mermaid would have in her hair!)
//White Plumeria's!!! 💛💛💛 Ahh my favorite!//
XOXO,
Suzanne Marie
