Warbly Parker

Right around when my glasses broke and then got superglued together, I was recieving text message reminders about setting up an eye exam. After getting a new prescription, I figured I might as well get new frames (instead of just waiting for them to break again. I had seen this store before and almost bought a pair a few years ago. So I wanted to give them a try.

Okay, there are several really cool aspects to this company. First thing first... they actually sell a monocle. 😂 😂  Alright onto the other cool things, like they also do the buy a pair give a pair, except even better because they do not just keep donating eyeglasses, they have partnered up with companies (such as VisionSpring) to train people to give basic eye exams, which in turn helps them to make a living. They understand that donating only fixes the situation temporarily and they want each donation (training) to keep going.

Because they design and manufacture the glasses, they cut out the middleman (the wholesaler) and let us, the consumers, get awesome glasses at wholesale price! If you have a simple prescription the cost is only $95 total. For prescriptions such as bifocals they are more expensive to cover the lens costs.

And if there is not a shop near you, never fear! They have at home try ons!! How cool is that! You can pick out five different styles and colors to be shipped to your house for you to try on for five days and see what is your style. Shipping is free both ways! And if you didn't like any, you don't have to buy, just ship them all back. Did you find one you love? Order online so they can fill your prescription lenses and ship you a fresh pair! Then just pop the box of try-ons in the mail back to them!

I ended up ordering a home try on, because they do not have a location in Fort Worth...😕  So the five I picked out were:

(Notice a color trend??) I really liked ... but wanted to make sure about the cost and fit, so I ended up heading over to Dallas some Saturday, so my aunt and I visited both locations to see the whole selection.

Super glad I got to head to a retail store, because the one I ordered (Sullivan in Woodgrain Tortoise) was not one I had originally been eyeing! And it ended up that my second choice was also not one of the five from the home try one either! It was Wilkie in Eastern Bluebird Fade. But the home try on is great choice if there is not a retail store near you yet!
