10 Days in Ireland Packing List

Shortly after I got home last summer from Greece, I was in and out of my campus's advisory office, because of some issues with registration, while I was there, the secretary made a comment about my Italia t-shirt. That got us to talking about my trip and how it was not with TSU, rather UD. Then she pulled out a brochure about TSU's study abroad programs and that got me super interested in finding out if they had one for the Business program.

Later that week, I got on their website and found out that they did have one for COBA students and it was during spring break. They would go to Ireland to visit business around the country. Right around the time I emailed the professor inquiring about it, he mentioned that registration would start the next week! And as soon as it did I put my deposit down to save a spot; later I found out that they had the 10 seats filled in the first day and they had a waiting list, but I got in!!

After my last trip and having to figure out how to pack for almost two months of travel, it was almost a relief to figure out what to bring for just 10 days. And I knew I just wanted to bring a carry-on suitcase and a small travel backpack.

Here's what I took:
Basics & Miscellaneous:
  • Snacks - dried fruit, peanut butter cookies, veggie & fruit strips, & almonds.
  • Travel Pillow (I will never travel without it!)
  • Wallet - ATM card, passport, driver's license, medical insurance & copies of all important documents.
  • Laundry Bag - helps keep clean and dirty items separated, especially helpful when you are packing and moving around to different cities.
  • Umbrella
  • Cellphone, Camera (Cannon & Instax - and extra film) & Chargers
  • Headphones
  • Voltage Adapter
  • Notebook, Homework reading & pens.

Clothes:
  • Underwear & Socks
  • Sleepwear
  • Jacket - brought a trench coat and a vest.
  • Sweaters - two medium sweaters.
  • Dress
  • Three pairs of pants - two jeans & a pair of cords.
  • Pair of leggings.
  • Tops - two long-sleeve, two three-quarter length & two short sleeve.
  • Ducks Boots, Brown Flats & Gray Vans
  • Two pairs of earrings
  • One necklace
  • Sunglasses
  • Glasses
  • Swimsuit (my rule of travel is always bring a swimsuit - when you do you will probably only use it 50% of the time, but when you forget it, there is a 90% chance you could have).
  • Pair of gloves and a warm headband
  • Three light scarfs
Hygiene:
  • Toothbrush & Toothpaste
  • Deodorant
  • Shampoo & Conditioner
  • Comb
  • Flat Iron (found out mine is dual voltage, so I can bring it traveling without having to bring a converter, still need an adaptor though.)
  • Cleanser & Moisturizer
  • Hand lotion
  • Lip Balm
  • Razor
  • Makeup & Remover
  • Cotton Swabs & Rounds
  • Vitamins, Allergy Meds & a few cough drops.

The best bag ever! MK Rollup Bag!

To and From Outfit
My travel outfit was leggings, white long-sleeve t-shirt, vest, necklace, infinity scarf, camping socks, & duck boots. Layers, that way if I got hot I could take something off, or put more on, if I get cold.

XOXO,
Suzanne Marie
