Wyoming oh Wyoming after powering through for about 20 hours driving, and almost hitting a deer, we made it to Cody, which is in the far northwestern corner of the state. The night after we got there it snowed, so the entire ground and mountains were covered. So plans changed from heading to yellowstone, to planning a trip to Thermopolis for the next day.
Thermop was amazing, in the State Park they have natural hot sulfur springs there. And we ended up going to Star Plunge and spent the entire afternoon there. The hot spring was amazing and even with it cold out, the springs are so hot, it was amazing. It took a while to get use to the smell, but by the time we left, we didn't even noticed it.
So day after that we finally headed out to YNP and about 9 miles away from the house we managed to end up on the worst deserted muddy road ever and then as we were trying to get it unstuck, my car decided to shut off and start steaming. So luckily I still had cell service and E was able to call their AAA. During the three hours stranged, we pulled out the chairs and the propane stove and made a cup of coffee, then proceeded to have a few photo shoots on the hill we were stuck behind.
Three and a half hours later the tow truck showed up. The guy was super friendly and polite even though AAA apparently did not give him all of the information. It took another hour to get the chains on the tires and then another half hour to get my car loaded. For a while we weren't sure if we were going to make it, hahaha the tow truck almost got stuck a few times. So we left around 7am, and made it back to the house at 1:30pm, quite a morning adventure.
After getting my car back to their house, Mr. M was able to put coolant/antifreeze and somehow managed to get it to turn back on and that was that.
