Chambray

Chambray is one of my year-round favorite items. Unlike the standard button-up (which is definitely a wardrobe staple in the south), you can easily find many cute styles, that are not just including shirts - chambray dresses are a summer trend. And it gives you the perfect reason to break out those white shorts!

On another note, I had steamed my top, but the day got away from me and by the time I actually headed out for the shoot, it was wrinkly. Also I figured it would be the perfect day for a shoot, as it was overcast (and everyone knows that down here in Texas, it is pretty hard to have a midday photoshoot in the middle of summer), however as soon as I started to set up, guess what decided to come out of hiding? That's right, the sun came out, and I started sweating. Luckily, there were enough clouds, so there were brief moments of coverage.

Life Update: With my last semester of college starting in a little over a week, schedules lined up so my whole family is finally going to head down to the coast (which is actually pretty rare for us). I cannot wait to soak up the Texas sunshine, before the semester starts. Seems a bit unreal that I only have four months until I graduate with a bachelor degree and I will be finished with school forever (I have absolutely no plans to head back for a masters anytime soon).
