Now there is
dōTERRA:
The name is derived from Latin, with the meaning Gift of the Earth. And because of the accent on the o it is pronounced (doe-terra).
There is a one time membership fee of $35 or the purchase of an enrollment kit (of which there are ten different ones to chose from). And there is a yearly renewal fee to continue to buy wholesale of $25, which comes with a free bottle of Peppermint that has a retail value of ($27.33).
As a member you'll receive a 25% discount on products and exclusive access to promotions and product launches and the opportunity to enroll in the Loyalty Rewards Program and Product of the Month Club.
Plus there are tons of additional resources, such as magazine and blogs, that you can use to learn about new products and how to share essential oils.

Young Living:
Founded in 1993, by Gary Young. Have triple the amount of oils available, as well as many other products. So of which questions how much they want to expand away from essential oils.
24% off of products and can enjoy benefits and convenience of essential rewards. No yearly fee.
Now there have been many back and forth issues regarding each company (many of them have been started by consultants to attack the other company), but for the past five years YL has been suing DōTerra of many different claims, so include hiring people who use to work for them. But recent DōTerra has been cleared of all the claims and if anything it has all hurt YL for starting it and it brought to life some of their misconduct, inducing lying about farm production, and diminishing the quality of some oils. Because of this thousands of YL distributers have left. Read all about it here.
Just from personal experience, I have found that dōTERRA is definitely my favorite regarding product and the leaders I have had contact with. Plus when comparing some of the oils (such as peppermint) YL seemed good, but just did not stack up to the quality of dōTERRA's.
XOXO,
Suzanne Marie
