Sew Caroline Pattern Testing - & Handmade Scarf Swap Results

This past week I was able to test for Sew Caroline, her newest pattern the Downtown Tunic. Haha, I was super surprised that I was one of the testers, as I was probably the last person to send in an 'application'.

This pattern is made with both knit and woven - which means there are tons of possibilities for cute spring tops! Both versions are very quick and easy to sew.

View A - This one is perfect for a beginner, they can make it in just a couple of hours. The top part is made with Untangled Ribbons, part of Sew Caroline's Gleeful from Art Gallery Fabric, bottom part is also from AGF, it's Emerald from the Pure Elements Collection.

View B -  Definitely for advanced beginner/Intermediate, depending on how comfortable you are with button holes. Not that they are something to be scared of. Both fabrics are also from AGF, top Flowered Engrams Delicate Knit part of Recollection and the bottom is the same as above - Emerald. AGF Knits are super soft and comfy, however the one thing I don't like about them is if you stretch them (ie. for the neckband) they pucker funny.

In other news, the #handmadescarfswap is over and I love the results! I used coral chiffon and feather onion skin (from Girl Charlee) to make my scarf and I was able to ship it off way before the deadline!! *Yay!* Then last Thursday I received my lovely scarf from @hiandhelloblog and it is perfect for the summer. Cannot wait to wear it!

XOXO,
