Favorite Recipies from Magnolia Table

As I am sure y'all are aware, at the end of last month, Joanna Gaines released her cookbook, Magnolia Table. It was on my birthday wishlist every since she announced it coming out this spring. Randomly on launch day, my mom and I ran into target and naturally they had a big display right in front, plus they had it on sale (score!!), so my mom asked if I'd like it as an early b-day present. LOL, yess!

So far I"ve tried ___ of the recipes. Shortly after getting it, I went through the book and put post-it tabs on all the ones I wanted to try.

The first one I tried was the chocolate chip cookies, because it said they were suppose to be fluffy and not flat. And let's just say I was super disappointed. They were extremely flat and the bottom cooked faster than the top (some parts of the top were still doughy). Most of that batch got thrown out.

Before I attempted the cookies again, we jumped to the Almond Chicken Tenderloins and omg, they were incredible. Easy to make. Didn't stick to the pan. And very flavorful. All of us loved them! It was a win, win situation!!

You can tell the difference between the two batches - the ones in the top right on the plate are more golden/brown, while the ones in the bowl are not and if you look closely at the ones in the bowl you can actually tell where they did not get cooked fully on top.

Decided to give the chocolate chip cookies another go, and they turned out soo much better than the first batch, but still not great. It took almost 20 minutes for them to cook (the books says 10-11 minutes...). And the edges were a little tough. They were okay.

Next up was the Pancakes! Super easy to mix up and make. They were amazing! Fluffy and buttery tasting (because it calls for buttermilk).

Have you gotten a copy of the Magnolia Table? If so, what recipes have you tried so far? Any keepers? Comment below!!

XOXO,
Suzanne Marie
