Stitch Fix - First Fix - May 2016

I had heard of Stitch Fix before, but really know what it was until one of my friends, Lauren, tried it a couple of times and absolutely loved what she got. So both my mom and I were really interested in trying it out. I really wanted to try it before I left on my trip and because I had mentioned it to my stylist I got several items that are perfect for my trip!

How it works:
After signing up for Stitch Fix you fill out a little style quiz. It goes over everything from size, price and what you are looking for. At the end you can add comments or specific things you are hoping to get in your Fix. This questionnaire can be retaken over and over again.

You get to decided how often you want to receive a Fix, either automatically or manually. Just sign back in and request one when you need it!

I used the Stitch Fix App so that I could send my stylist a photo of myself (I mean it has to be easier for them to actually see who they are picking outfit for!) and to request a couple of items that would work in Europe over the summer.

They also suggest linking accounts like your Instagram or a Pinterest board, so they can really get a sense of who you are, what you do, and styles you love!

Here is what my Fix #1 looked like:

  • RD Style - Vannesa Chambray Shirt Dress - S - $78.00
  • Gilli - Nikky Jersey Faux Wrap Dress - S - $58.00
  • Alice Blue - Stitch Fix Exclusive - Viktor Halter Blouse - M - $44.00
  • Pixley - Glenoaks V-Neck Top - M - $48.00
  • Dear John - Lillie Cuffed Denim Short - 6 - $58.00
She had tailored it perfectly for the summer - the wrap dress covered my shoulders and was knee length (if you need to know anything about Europe it's that you really need to follow a more conservative fashion - especially so you can get into Churches and such.) And because the tops were so flowy it did not matter too much when I added on a cardigan to cover my shoulders.

Now you can also choose your price point too:
  • Cheaper the better
  • $50-$100
  • $100-$150
  • $150-$200
  • $200+

Plus if you buy all five items you get a 25% discount! But you will only get it if all five items are purchased.

After the 25% discount and styling fee (which you have already paid for) the total for these five was $194.50. The app makes it easy to check out and finalize your purchase!

If you end up not keeping an item or too, they give you a bag to ship it back to them. So you don't have to worry about return fees! I did end up exchanging the Shorts for a size 4 and then returning them as both the 4&6 as both were huge in the waist.

Overall, I was rather pleased with the items (disappointed in the shorts), I think these were some of the most worn dresses and tops during my trip. If you hate shopping or don't know where to start - try Stitch Fix!

The more you receive fixes the more customized they are to you! They will be able to tell what is and what is not your style! What has your experience been with Stitch Fix? Good, bad or meh? Comment below!

XOXO,
Suzanne Marie
