Oh where to begin? Every year Mary Kay has two main events for all consultants, the biggest one is Seminar. The fun thing is all of them are right here in Dallas, because that's where corporate and the manufacturing plant is located. It's a four day event, that's jam-packed with just about everything you can think of, training, parties, dinners, awards, recognition... The list goes on.
Last year, after getting our registration packets, we got to wander around the expo area, then some of us went to corporate for a tour! The fun thing was they had it all decorated for us! Super fun. Okay so the mural in the pictures below is painted entirely out of MK makeup products; apparently they had the artists working on it during seminars in the past and now it's hung up the one of the main areas in the corporate building. The next picture is Mary Kay Ash's office, they have left it just as is, super cool museum like. She had absolutely adorable taste.
The first day is mainly just getting everyone registered. There was an optional tour of the Mary Kay Corporate Headquarters. And it was so cool to see where the main designs and ideas occurs. That evening our unit went to Medieval Times to just have a fun evening, then we did a small unit recognition, in our hotel room.
Okay, so just to sum up the rest of seminar it was amazing! We had teaching lectures from some of the top nationals in the U.S. Plus you get to see some of the upcoming products (such as the Lt. Ed. Holiday).
But one of the coolest parts is the awards night. They give aways cars, diamonds, and cash prizes for many different reasons. Plus they make it like an actual awards show, with a huge stage, lights, music... This year they even got Jordan Sparks to do a private show for the Mary Kay consultants after all of the recognition! Like how can you top something like that?? Cannot wait for seminar this year!
