2016 Summer ROMEance Part 1

// UD's Rome Campus //

Oh my gosh, y'all, I got to spend six weeks in Italy and a week in Greece! It was a crazy experience, with tons of drama, heartache, studying, and of course travel!! Now unlike the program I did last year with Tarrant County College, these classes would not help my degree program and everything was done over seas.
*On a side note, I am not going to be using full names, for their privacy.

It was quite a whirlwind of a summer; going from spring semester to being sick the whole week before leaving (& the whole first week of being there. Yuck!). So me being me, I quickly found a couple of girls that I spent most of the time with and honestly, there were some of the 15 students that I did not really talk to until the last couple of weeks.

So like I just said, there were only 15 of us, which was apparently unusually. Normally, the University of Dallas Rome Summer Program has around 30-40 students, but most study abroad programs are suffering because of the recent terrorist threats around Europe. It was quite a fun small group, but that escalated the drammmaa! Or maybe just the interest in it.

The first week, was the hardest; they make you work through the jet lag and on top of that the second weekend there was our first free weekend (so if we wanted to travel, we had to quickly make friends and plan, plan, plan.)

But we got to do a lot of really cool things, such as, visiting St Peter's super early in the morning before it was too crowded. And one day we town hopped around Lake Albano.
