What's cold, sweet, light and airy, but not ice cream? Lumi Snow!
It's right in between ice cream and shaved ice, for the perfect treat on a hot Texas day! It seriously is like snow! Inspired by the Taiwanese concept of "shaved snow," the Carta's created their own twist.
I had been watching the journey on Instagram (watching the struggle of the slllllooooowww process to acquire permits and get everything ready) for months, waiting for it to finally open. But after they did in November, I just never got the chance to visit, because they are on the far north side of Fort Worth.
My direct-sales director surprised me last month on the way to a training event. I got the Red Velvet (the seasonal flavor) to-go and oh my word, yum! There really is no good way to describe the texture of it. As we left, I realized my best friend lived only a few minutes away.
So three days later, I mentioned it to her and within a few minutes we were in the car on our way! And just like the past evening, there were people in and out, but several empty tables.
I chose the Campfire Classic and she got the Cookie Monster. OMG, true to the names, so chocolatey and yummy!! Smalls are large enough; we both finished them off with full tummy.
Hahaha, to sum it all up, I went twice in four days, think that is proof enough it is a good dessert!
They have a regular menu, a mix-and-match option, and seasonal flavors.
