Hopefully you aren't tired of hearing about my trip. Hahahaha, I know I spread it out kind of thin; each day with a post. ;D But y'all will be glad to hear this is the last one, day four, headed home!
We decided to make a couple of stops before we got home, which is why we got home super late. First up was in Wimberly, TX, Jacob's Well. The plan was to go swimming, however because of storms and well it was rather cool, swimming is closed until the end of May. But since there is no swimming, they let us in for free and it wasn't super crowded, thus nice and clean pictures.
The cool thing about this well is it's a natural spring and it's not that big around, but the main 'hole' is about 24 feet deep, but there is a cave that goes down to 104 feet deep!! That's crazy!
Then because the wildflowers were in full bloom down south, we randomly stopped on the side of the road to get pictures, because honestly those are usually the best places.
Finally, we stopped at Colorado Bend State Park. It is a huge park, with lots and lots of trails to pick from, plus camping, and kayaking. Now I don't remember which one we chose, but it wasn't the most popular one, which is why we only came across about one other family on the trail. The whole loop we took was about 3 hours. Hahaha, it was longer than we thought it would be, but omg it was so fun! The first half of the trail followed the creek, criss-crossing it and well as fun as it was, that meant we had soaking wet socks and shoes for over half of the hike. Yuck. :( The other half followed the canyon right above the creek. Both were quite rocky and what they call 'challenging'. But it was super pretty and really glad we got to do it.
XOXO,
Suzanne Myers
